Whenever I go to the bay I can feel a sense of belonging and calm. Especially when I stare at the ocean. Everything about the beach, the ocean feels right. It feels as if I’m finally home. Yet, by looking at the vastness and power of the ocean I realize the insignificance of human life. We came from the ocean. Humans have only bern around for like 10,000 years. The world has been around for millions of years. We are just a blip in the history of the world yet we are so egotistical and ignorant that we believe the world is ours to do with as we please. One day we may return to the ocean, because despite all of our achievements, technology, science, knowledge, despite all of our abilities, the world still owns US.
